Kavya Suresh is an Indian actress and professional Bharatanatyam dancer who works in Malayalam and Tamil-language films.
Personal life
Kavya was born in Chennai, where she grew up.[1] Her father is a businessman and her mother is a homemaker. She also has an older brother, Karthik. She is a Bharatanatyam dancer and has danced since her childhood. She learned to dance under the guidance of actress Jayabharathi. She studied visual communication in Ethiraj College, Chennai, before pursuing a career in acting.[2]
Career
She made her debut with Lasagu Usaga (2013) opposite Govind Padmasoorya. The film, however, failed to have a theatrical release.[1][2] She went on to star in Ore Mukham (2016) and Kamuki (2018). She also made her debut in the Tamil movie Thirumanam(2019) directed by Cheran. Her role in Kamuki was well received and enabled her to receive further offers.[2] In 2019, she starred in the Tamil film Thirumanam, where she played the leading role with Umapathy Ramaiah.[3]
