Plot[edit]
The film begins with Kicha (Ramesh Ram) being shot during a running competition and he is admitted at the hospital in a serious condition.
In the past, in the village Keezhatheru, the young boy Kicha lived with his poor parents and younger sister. Despite winning many running competitions, his father (Bala Singh) hated him. Kicha was in love with the young girl Nandhini. One day, a boy tried to hurt his lover and Kicha had a fight with him. Kicha accidentally killed him and the police arrested him. In Borstal School, Kicha was noticed by a police officer for being a great runner and the training centre coach Ajay (Ajay Rathnam) became his personal trainer. Many years later, Kicha failed to win a race because of someone's conspiracy and he disappointed his coach. Feeling depressed, Kicha returned home. At his native village, his father who disowned him after the incident insulted him. Kicha decided to stay with his childhood friend Maaran (Kavin). Kicha eventually saw his childhood sweetheart Nandhini (Tharsha) but he was scared to talk to her and asked Maaran to not tell about him to her. After the death of her father, Nandhini lived with her uncle (Mahanadi Shankar) who was a corrupt police inspector and Nandhini still loved Kicha. Kicha found a job in a sawmill owned by a naive man (Ganja Karuppu). In the meantime, Kicha won back the trust of his parents and younger sister. Kicha then came across Nandhini multiple times and Nandhini mistook him for being a stalker. She complained to the sawmill owner and Kicha lost his job. Meanwhile, Sriram (Rithik) fell in love with his relative Nandhini and they got engaged. One night, Kicha stopped thieves for stealing the village temple's statue but he was mistakenly arrested by Nandhini's uncle. Ajay made him release and took Kicha with him to compete in a race in Chennai. Nandhini came to know that the stalker was Kicha and also left her village to meet him. Her uncle mistook them to have eloped. In Chennai, Sriram found a bewildered Nandhini and made her stay in his house. Sriram also competed in the race. When Kicha was about to win the race, he was shot by Nandhini's uncle.
At the hospital, Kicha is saved and Sriram gives him the trophy he won. Kicha and Nandhini finally marry.
