Early life[edit]

Clizark was born in Greenville, Mississippi and relocated with his mother, Shirley Clark, to Long Beach, California at the age of four.[1] Clizark attended Long Beach City College from 1986-1989 majoring in Music Theory/Business.

Career[edit]

In 1984, he created a DJ crew who called themselves Beat Control. As part of the group, Clizark was known as DJ K Rush. The group recorded and release a record produced by Keith. At the age of 17 Clizark and his Beat Control Crew were hired by Rory Koffman at the first hip hop radio station, 1580 KDAY.[2]

He then went on to produce several other projects and worked with a multitude of artists such as Snoop Dogg, B-Legit, Master P, Kurupt, Tha Eastsidaz and Young Bleed just to name a few.[3]

Clizark went on to start his production company Team Mashn in 1999, later becoming Team Mashn Entertainment after acquiring a distribution deal with INgrooves in 2011.[4]
