Kenneth Todd (born 20 July 1945)[1][2] is an English businessman. He is best known for being the husband of Lisa Vanderpump and as one of the longest-running executive producers on the Bravo reality television series Vanderpump Rules.

Todd and his wife, Lisa Vanderpump, have owned or co-owned 36[5] restaurants, bars, and clubs across the United Kingdom and the United States.[6]
Early life[edit]
Kenneth Todd was born in Battersea, London, England, on 20 July 1945,[1][2] as the second of three children to Ellen Elizabeth Todd (née Jenkins) and Frederick James Todd.[7] He has a twin sister[8] who was born first[9] and a younger brother.[10] He took care of his family financially.[11]
Todd graduated from the University of London with his bachelor's degree in business management.[12]
Career[edit]
Todd worked at Kensington Market in the early 1960s.[13] He ran Roxy, a boutique.[14] He co-owned Che Guevara, a clothes shop in the late 1960s.[15] He worked numerous jobs to provide for his young son, including labouring and night work.[11] He has worked as a bartender, a waiter, in the textile industry, and the property business.[12][16][17]
Todd started his career as a restaurateur when he purchased his first establishment, Cork's Wine Bar, in Kensington, London in 1980.[16] He lost three out of the four LA pizza restaurants he owned in the 1994 Northridge earthquake.[13]
Todd and Lisa Vanderpump have accumulated a large and very successful portfolio of restaurants, bars, and clubs since 1995. They sold four of their bars to the Trocadero group for £10.5 million in 1998. He deals with "licenses and so on." They owned numerous establishments before moving to the United States, including The Shadow Lounge, Bar Soho, a Cheers-themed megabar, and Jewel.[13][16][18] They partnered with husband-and-wife team Guillermo Zapata and Nathalie Pouille Zapata to become co-owners of SUR Restaurant & Lounge in 2005.[19] They opened Villa Blanca in 2009 and closed the establishment in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.[20] They opened Pump Restaurant in 2014 and closed the establishment in 2023.[21] They partnered with duo Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz as co-owners of Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar in 2018.[22] They opened Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace in 2019.[23] They opened Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas in 2022.[24] Wolf by Vanderpump is set to open at Harveys Lake Tahoe in winter 2023.[25]
Todd made his television debut on the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2010. His wife is an original main cast member of the series.[26] She announced her departure on 3 June 2019, after nine seasons.[27]
Todd currently serves as an executive producer[28] on the first spin-off from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules.[29] He is one of the longest-running executive producers on the series, serving under Evolution Media since the shows debut on 7 January 2013.[30]
Todd is the manager of James Kennedy, from Vanderpump Rules.[31] He is credited as a producer on Kennedy's debut album, PUMP Sessions, which was released in 2016.[32]
Todd served as an executive producer on the 2017 spin-off from Vanderpump Rules, Vanderpump Rules: Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky.[33]
Todd appeared on E!'s reality television series Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump between March and May 2021.[34][35] He served as an executive producer on the first episode of the second spin-off from The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, Peacock's Vanderpump Dogs, in June.[36]
Charity work[edit]
Todd has been a steadfast advocate for the LGBT community.[37] He often hosts Pride parades.[38]
Todd co-organised a peaceful protest march against the Yulin Dog Meat Festival on 4 October 2015. The march went from MacArthur Park to the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles and started a movement to end the abuse, torture, and slaughter of dogs worldwide.[39] He co-launched the Stop Yulin Forever campaign.[40]
Todd is a founder and president of Vanderpump Dogs.[16] The Vanderpump Dog Foundation was launched online on 29 March 2016.[41] He opened the Vanderpump Dogs rescue centre in Los Angeles on 1 March 2017.[42] He owns and operates two rescue centres in China.[43] Vanderpump Dogs has saved "approximately 3,000 dogs domestically from kill shelters to date", as of February 2023.[44]
Todd served as an executive producer[45] on The Road To Yulin And Beyond, an awareness documentary, drawing attention to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival's barbaric practice.[46]
Personal life[edit]
Todd tends to shun the limelight.[13]
Todd married model Pamela Wilson in Deptford, London in 1965.[47] The couples only child was born in 1966.[48] They divorced in 1967. He had sole custody of his son from the age of two and raised him alone with the help of his mother. He has three grandsons from his son.[49][50] She has been known as Pamela Todd since they divorced.[51]
Todd met actress Lisa Vanderpump through her brother Mark[52] at Cork's Wine Bar in Kensington, London in May 1982.[13] The couple got engaged within six weeks of dating and were married at a United Reformed Church in Kensington & Chelsea, London on 28 August 1982.[53] He was 37 and she was 21. The couple have two children: a daughter, Pandora (b. 1986)[54][55] and an adopted son,[56] Max (b. 1991, adopted. 1992).[57] They renewed their vows on their 30th anniversary in 2012.[58][59] He has a grandson from his daughter.[60]
Todd moved to Beverly Hills, California in 2005,[18] where he currently resides. He has lived in London, the South of France, and Monte Carlo.[18][11] He once owned a moated mansion in The Cotswolds.[13] He sold his Beverly Park home for $18.8 million in 2011[61] and bought his $12 million estate,[62] Villa Rosa,[63] in the Beverly Crest neighbourhood.[64] He owns a villa in Carcassonne, France.[65]
Todd had his Twitter[66] account suspended numerous times[67] for being too vocal regarding the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.[68] He has since deleted his account.[69]
Todd is often mistaken for Ken Todd, the English former footballer.[70]
Health[edit]
Todd underwent hip replacement surgery in April 2015.[71][72] He underwent back surgery in June 2020.[73]
Todd received the COVID-19 vaccine in January 2022, due to his age and two underlying health conditions.[74] He tested positive for COVID-19 in May 2022 and later made a full recovery.[75]
