Kenneth Dean Brooks (born January 13, 1963) is a prominent Elmira, New York Christian minister, author, pastor and evangelist. He is senior pastor of Kingdom Dream Center, a Pentecostal church in Elmira, New York. He grew up in Elmira, New York at the Church of God in Christ at Faith Temple COGIC under the mentorship of his great uncle, the late Pastor Leo Hughey. In later years he also serviced as a city councilmen from the years 1992–1998.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Brooks was born in Elmira, New York, and was raised primarily in the Twin Tier area.
As a young pastor, Brooks was strongly influenced by Church of God in Christ evangelists and missionary.
Kingdom Dream Center[edit]
Brooks founded his church in 2007, after leading a Bible study and church meetings at Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Elmira, New York). They soon decided that the Bible study group should become a church. It originally became known as Kingdom Refuge and Dream Center, and later Kingdom Dream Center.[2]
