Abhisar Sharma is an Indian News Anchor[4], writer, journalist and media personality covering topics related to India politics and society. He has worked for some prestigious organizations like the BBC London, NDTV, AAJTAK, ZEE NEW and is currently working in ABP NEWS. Abhisar Sharma is also the author of three novels, Eye of the predator, Edge of the Machete, A hundred lives for you. He specializes in ground reportage and is an anchor on ABP News’s prime time show. Abhisar Sharma won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award in 2008[5]. For his excellent reporting, Abhisar Sharma has also won the Red Ink award from Mumbai Press Club in 2017[6]

Early life and education[edit]

Abhisar Sharma was born in New Delhi, India on 13 August 1972[7]. He completed his primary and secondary education from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Tagore Garden in New Delhi and after completing his schooling, he enrolled in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in New Delhi[8]. After completing his diploma in Journalism, Abhisar started working for News Track Magazine as a trainee reporter.

Abhisar Sharma has won many awards including Ramnath Goenka Memorial Foundation Award in 2008 and Red Ink Trophy in June 2017 for covering 'Operation Laal Jungle' human right story[9]

Abhisar Sharma is married to Sumana Sen, Income Tax Officer and have two children including[10] a daughter and a son.
