David Alex Burkow (born March 29, 1995),[2] known professionally as Burko, is an American DJ, songwriter, record producer, and vocalist based in San Diego. He is the producer of the Can't Stay Here EP consisting of the tracks 'Can't Stay Here' along with the B-side, 'Reflection', the Infrared EP, consisting of the tracks Revelation, I Feel Fine, Here Before, and Infrared, a remix of DJ Susan's hit track Secrets, his single Angelic, a remix of DGLT CLR's single Empyrean, a collaboration with Ukrainian producer, Bondar, titled Void, a single on Space Yacht's first ever 'Tech My House' compilation with Ocean Roulette titled Tribes, his first EP release on his original label imprint Kino Village titled the Put Me in a Trance EP consisting of the tracks 'Put Me in a Trance' and 'Inferno', a single called Pull Me Under, and a single on Box of Cat's Litterbox compilation titled Give Me More
Career
Early life
Burko was born on March 29, 1995, in San Diego, California, the son of Barbara Krass and Stuart Burkow. He is of Eastern European descent. After growing up for the first eighteen years in San Diego, Burko attended UC Santa Barbara where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Psychology and Technology Management. Burko then moved to Los Angeles, CA. where he worked for Live Nation in Beverly Hills, before returning to San Diego to acquire is Masters in Business Administration with a focus in marketing from The Rady School of Management at University of California, San Diego. While Burko was pursuing his MBA, he co-founded his first label imprint, Kino Village and ran the A&R and back-end of the record label, signing artists from around the world, centering in on the United States but stretching to South Africa, Brazil, and Europe. Burko is set to release collaborations with powerhouse artists SNBRN and Autograf, and release on international record labels Insomniac, Armin Van Buuren's Armada, and Sony's Ultra.
