The Everstone Group is a private equity and real estate investment firm focusing on India and Southeast Asia mainly, with assets under management of approximately US$4 billion[1]. The firm has its headquarters in Singapore, and has an institutional platform with professionals working across six offices: Singapore, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mauritius and London. The four main lines of business are PE, real estate, credit and consumer ventures[2].

History[edit]

In 2006, Sameer Sain and Atul Kapur founded The Everstone Group in London, United Kingdom[3]. They then shifted its headquarters to Singapore. Everstone has expanded to a team of over 250 professionals, with six offices across India, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Mauritius[4]. Everstone has invested in and developed more than 50 million square feet of retail and industrial real estate across India. Everstone was awarded ‘Mid-Market Firm of the Year in Asia’ in 2016 and 2017, and the ‘Private Equity Firm of the Year in India’ from 2011 to 2017[5].

Investments[edit]

The Everstone Group is a major PE investor in India and South East Asia with investments in Burger King in India and Indonesia[6], Domino's Pizza in Indonesia[7], IndoSpace in India[8], IndoStar Capital Finance[9], and DSG Consumer Partners[10], among others. Overall, it has invested in over 30 portfolio companies in sectors like healthcare, retail, F&B, financial services, industrial, education, and business services (consumer and consumer-led sectors).

  • In July 2018, Ozone Enterprise Group, company backed by Everstone acquired security frim Wallcam[11][12]
  • In July 2018, Everstone acquired Cookie Man from Australian Foods for an undisclosed sum. [13][14]
  • In May 2018, Everstone-backed IndoStar Capital launched IPO.[15]
  • In November 2017, Everstone Group acquired Malaysian medical products company Chemopharm.[16]
  • In August 2017, Everstone sold Faces Cosmetics to Sequoia Capital for $40 million.[17]
  • In January 2017, Everstone invested $35 million in nutraceutical ingredients maker OmniActive.[18]
  • In October 2016, Everstone invested $33 million in Rubicon Research.[19]
