FanCode is a multi-sport aggregator platform, owned by Dream Sports, which also owns Dream11.[1] It offers live streaming, news, live match scores, game analysis and fantasy sports statistics and tips to its users.[2][3] FanCode claims to have 15 million app downloads, as of April 2020. [4][2]
History
The company was founded in 2019 by Yannick Colaco and Prasana Krishnan.[5] Colaco previously worked with NBA India as managing director[6], while Krishnan was a former executive at sports pay-television broadcasters Sony Pictures Networks and Neo Sports.[7]
FanCode acquired streaming rights for the American football league, National Football League in January 2020.[2] It also received streaming rights of the season of I-League in India from Lex Sportel Vision in January 2019.[8][9]
Partnership
The company is partnered with the Bangladesh Premier League[10], the NBA[11], Mzansi Super League, West Indies Cricket Board[12], T20 Vitality Blast, National Football League, European Cricket League[13], Super50 Cup, FIBA Basketball World Cup, Jupiler Pro League, Hero I-League, Eredivisie, FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, International Champions Cup, and seven Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.[14][15]
Awards
In December 2019, FanCode awarded the Best Sports Start-up at the FICCI India Sports Awards 2019 by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry.[16]
