JPEGmini is a photo optimization and compression software. The product was created in 2011.[1] The company is based in Tel Aviv in Israel. [2][3]
Overview
JPEGmini technology has two main components: The first component is a picture quality detector. It detects the quality of the photo as per human visual system to determine the maximum amount of compression that can be applied to each individual pixel without causing visible artifacts.
The second is a JPEG encoder which compresses the photos that is possible under the JPEG standard.[4]
