Kevin de Jong; born 1 June 2002), professionally known as KevinDeJong, is a Dutch musician, DJ, record producer and remixer from Zwolle, Netherlands..[1] He has worked with, and received support from labels, such as Ninety9Lives and Summer Sounds.[2] He is known for his song "Within Us", which has been published on Ninety9lives, a label with over 1 million subscribers on Youtube.[3].
Early life
Kevin de Jong was born and raised in Zwolle, the Netherlands. He received his education at Hogeschool Windesheim [4].
Career
KevinDeJong started producing music in 2015 and in his first year he signed with a label called Summer Sounds, where he released his first track, Safari.[4]. After Safari, he started working together with other producers from all around the globe to collaborate.
2017
In 2017, Kevin and his friends jfarr, Vazara and CVB got together and made a song called Without You. It was Kevin’s first breakthrough. The song got approximately 500,000 streams on Youtube and Spotify combined. It was supported by popular Youtubers CaptainSparklez on his Youtube channel Maron Music and by Youtuber SSundee, who together have a combined subscriber count of 25 million.[5].
In 2017, Kevin also released his third song 'Within Us', which was also signed to Ninety9lives and was a collaboration between Kevin, Max Landry, Aimi and Marin Hoxha. This song was also well received by the followers of Ninety9lives.[6].
Kevin also got featured on the Ninety9lives Album 'High Score'. The album reached the top 10 dance albums in the United States on iTunes[7].
2018-2019
Since then, Kevin has only released 1 song called Celebration in collaboration with Tomatow[8], which did not receive as much support as his previous releases, after which Kevin became less active.
2019-2020
KevinDeJong announced a comeback on his Instagram live in May 2020. He has yet to announce the song.
Other ventures
In 2016, Kevin started a record label in collaboration with William Ford called Bluebird Records. The label released over 85 tracks in a period of four years but has been inactive since 2019. [9]
