Kevin ‘Chef Kev’ Ashade (born January 22, 1988) is a Dallas-based chef. Kevin was trained at The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park campus in New York. At CIA, Kevin earned an associate degree in occupational studies in the culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in professional studies in culinary management. Kevin has served as both a sous and executive chef at a number of 5-star restaurants such as Craft at the W Hotel in Dallas, Nana at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, The Oceanaire Seafood Room Dallas, and at the Marriott World Center in Orlando. Kevin has also served as a family/private chef for professional athletes in the MLB, NFL, and NBA. Recognizing a gap in the private food service market in Dallas–Fort Worth, Kevin founded GourmEATS Catering Services in 2013.
As of March 2016, Kevin continues to operate GourmEATS and serves as a chef consultant for 1 Hotel in Miami, FL. Kevin will appear on season 8 of the Food Network show "Beat Bobby Flay"[1] on April 14, 2016.
