Kevin Amadou Bokoum (born December 23, 2003) is the 36th Student Member of the Maryland State Board of Education, appointed by the Governor of Maryland and elected by a delegation of 400+ secondary school students from grades 6-12. Before that, he served as the 35th Student Member of the Washington County Board of Education. His accomplishments have been featured in the Herald Mail,[1] Baltimore Sun,[2] Washington Post,[3] Baltimore CBS,[4] WBAL[5] and Maryland Matters.[6]

Kevin was born at Frederick Memorial Hospital on December 23rd, 2003 to his parents, African Immigrants, . He attends North Hagerstown High School in Washington County, Maryland, and studies in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. He had a strong desire to help others, and started his involvement with Student Council at the age of 11. When he entered High School, Bokoum began to advocate heavily for student interests. His achievements started at Fundraising Chair for the North Hagerstown High Executive Board, then Treasurer for the North Hagerstown High Officer Team. He then went on to become the Division 1 Liaison for the Maryland Association of Student Councils Executive Board. He served as the 35th Student Member of the Washington County Board of Education.
