Kevin L. Bennett

Kevin L. Bennett (born January 11, 1974) is an American psychologist, author, and professor at The Pennsylvania State University, Beaver Campus.[1] He is known for his writing in Psychology Today magazine, with more than 75 behavioral science articles in the Modern Minds column.[2] He is a fellow at the Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health (UD/MH) in London, UK[3][4] and a recipient of the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award at Penn State Beaver.[5]

Bennett received his B.A. from the University of Michigan, his M.S. from the University of New Mexico and his Ph.D. from City, University of London, United Kingdom.[6] He attended Rochester Adams High School in Rochester Hills, Michigan.[7]
Career[edit]
In 2004, Bennett joined the Penn State faculty and was promoted to full teaching professor in 2018.[8] Since 2000, he has authored or co-authored over 100 scholarly publications, books, book chapters, and popular science articles.[9] [10] He is the program coordinator for undergraduate psychology at Penn State Beaver.[11]
From 2003-2017, Bennett was a researcher on the International Sexuality Description Project (ISDP) founded by David P. Schmitt.[12][13] This project was the largest-ever cross-cultural research study on mating behavior and personality with a database of 17,837 individuals representing 56 different nations. From 2018-2019, he was an editorial board member and section editor for the Encyclopedia of Evolutionary Psychological Science organized by Todd Shackelford and Viviana Weekes-Shackelford.[14][15]
