Khanana (Kannada:ಖನನ, Telugu: ఖననం,Tamil :தகனம்) is a 2016 suspense thriller film written and directed by Raadha and produced by Srinivasa Rao under S Nalige Productions. The film stars Arya Vardan, Karishma Baruah and Yuva Kishor and features an original score and soundtrack by Kunni G.

Production[edit]
Raadha was a former assistant and screenplay writer in Tollywood. His debut action promo, The Hook, was well received. Raadha approached producer Srinivasa Rao for the action promo and new story line and lent his voice for narration. A producer who liked the line and the making of the promo approached Raadha to direct the script.
Actor Arya Vardan, who is the son-in-law of veteran Kannada comedy actor and writer N. S. Rao, found the script interesting and agreed to star in the film as his debut venture. The script blends both romance and thriller concepts with a unique climax.
Soon after Raadha agreed to direct the film, Producer Srinivasa Rao and Director Raadha went on to search for the female lead and negative lead by browsing through photographs. They selected Karishma Baruah and Yuva Kishor to play the roles after auditions. While Karishma Baruah hails from Assam and lives in Bangalore, Yuva Kishor is from Raichur and does theater in Bangalore. Veteran actors Avinash, Vinaya Prasad, Om Prakash Rao, Bank Janardhan, Mohan Juneja and Honnavalli Krishna were roped in to play important supporting roles.
