Social Activism[edit]

On the 5th of February 2018, he uploaded on twitter footage of a man who was identified as a prominent member of the ANC brutally kicking a female senior citizen. The video quickly went viral and was later removed by him when he deleted the tweet. The major news agencies reported the story of this brutal attack using his video as a source[4] [5] [6] and this led to quick identification, capture and arrest of the attacker[7] . This is a form of South African citizen journalism and social media activism that is called #CountryDuty which was founded and championed by Tumi Sole [8] and this movement can be tracked using the hashtag #CountryDuty.
