A 2021 report in The Marshall Islands Journal identified Angelo as executive director of Living Islands in connection with donations and support for schools in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.[5] A 2013 article in GeekWire included a photo caption identifying her as founder and executive director of Living Islands.[6] On March 9, 2021, Pacific Peoples Partnerships recognized her in their Celebrating Women Across the South Pacific[7] article. In June of 2017, she spoke at the United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development[8].

In 2014, Angelo co-founded the COFA Alliance National Network (CANN) with Chris Ogo, Loyd Henion, David Anitok, and Jesper Angelo to highlight social and economic injustices experienced by citizens of the Freely Associated States living in the United States.[9] A 2024 Marshall Islands Journal feature about Henion described CANN as an Oregon-based nonprofit established in 2014 to represent the interests of people from the Compact of Free Association nations (Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia) in the United States.[10]
