Biography[edit]
Kirkham began producing at the age of 15 when he went into his first studio, from there he formed Instra:Mental in the early 00's (together with Alex Green[2]) they had a brand residency at Fabric with Autonomic nights[3], also the name of their award winning and highly influential podcast series, bringing back analog hardware productions at a time where most producers had switched to digital 'in the box' computer productions. Autonomic was a movement created by the duo, alongside dBridge blurring the lines between most genres, it saw producers from techno to electro to Drum & Bass and dubstep come together. For years Kirkham toured the world as Jon Convex[4], he has recently returned full circle to his Drum & bass roots.
