Derek Essex (born June 8, 1999), better known by his stage name Kid Gemini, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter.
Early life and career
Derek Essex was born on June 8, 1999, in South Berwick, Maine, in the United States.[1] He began his musical career in February 2019 with his debut single "Rock With Me," which was released on streaming services. The following month, his song "Friday Night" became his most popular single on Spotify, achieving over 46 thousand streams.
On October 16, 2020, Essex released his debut mixtape Mind of Gemini. The mixtape contained guest appearances from Starboi Gabe, Franey, Nimmies, and Dylan Paterson. However, as of 2021, the mixtape was taken down for unknown reasons.
