Mahsa Amini (Persian: مهسا امینی‎ – Mahsâ Amini; 22 July 2000 in Saqqez[2] – 16 September 2022 in Tehran[3]) was an Kurdish Iranian woman who was arrested and tortured by the Iranian government's Guidance Patrol, who arrested her for not wearing a hijab in public. She was arrested for "Islamic guidance" by Iran's police but after two hours, because of harsh scaring caused by Morality Police of Iran's Islamic republic forces behavior she suffered both brain and heart attack and went to a coma.[4]

The news of Mahsa Amini's murder over the mandatory hijab shocked the Iranian society and the Persian-speaking social media and sparked a wave of anger.[5]
