Kim Chestney is an American writer, artist and founder of the CREATE Festival in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1][2][3]

Writing career[edit]

Author of The Psychic Workshop: A Complete Program for Fulfilling Your Spiritual Potential,[1][4] Chestney writes on the topic of Intuition as the source of ingenuity, creativity and transformation.[5]

Projects[edit]

In 2008, Chestney produced the first Design, Art + Technology Awards (DATA),[6] which later became the annual CREATE Festival,[7][8] in partnership with the Three Rivers Arts Festival, in 2015.[9][10] The festival focuses on creative innovation and entrepreneurship.[11][7][12]

Her early work with the Art + Technology Initiative and the 15 Minutes Gallery at the Pittsburgh Technology Council began a regional movement to support the creative industries as a source of cultural and economic regeneration.[13][14][15][16]

In 2016, Chestney launched the Co-CREATE Creative Industries Business Ignition Program to empower artists as entrepreneurs.[17][18]

Art, Man + Technology Exhibition and Album Box Set: Collaborating with artist and musician, Steve Kilbey, Chestney curated an exhibition of 10 original works of art and spoken word at the 15 Minutes Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA.[19] Kilbey released a recording of the event.
