Kim Hyung-bae (Hangul: 김형배)
Former Vice Chairman [of Hanjin Group] Kim Hyung-bae was born in Seoul, joined Hanjin Corporation, the parent company of Hanjin Group, in 1951, and played a leading role in laying the foundation for Hanjin Corporation to grow into a comprehensive logistics company by transporting military supplies for the U.S. military in 1956.
He served as the head of the Vietnam branch during the Vietnam War in 1966, and in 1972, he also served as CEO of Daejin Shipping, the parent company of Hanjin Shipping.[1][2]
