Kim Kyong-hwan(Korean language:김경환, 1980 - ) is conscientious objectors and Homosexual human rights activist,[1] political refugee recognition of South korean Canadian.[2] In 2006 he was exposure to gross violation of human rights and Abuse of South Korean Army, three years afters his asylum application was accepted.[3] Kim was first political exiles, he fled oppression and human rights suppression in South Korea and sought asylum in Canada.[1]
he was born in Seoul. in elementary student time, he was perception of his sexual identity,[1] so he was above one's comprehension to South Korean government was Impose mandatory military service of South Korean male.[4] he was studying to one Private University in Seoul. but he was leave school, It should to do political asylum.[4] because not recognized and conscientious objection, Discrimination against homosexuals and homophobia, serious abuse in the military.[4] his Reason for asylum is South Korean government is rejection protection of human rights and do not see eye to eye with me. South Korean army is don't protecting homosexual and abuse.[5]
In June 2006, he was go to plane and arrived at the Toronto airport in Canada, also he was asylum application. in 6 July 2009, Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada was verdict his approval of asylum seekers.[6] Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada was announce the decision South Korean army is gay-bashing and abuse, Punishing conscientious objectors.[7] after Kim was granted permanent residence in Canada.[8] Citing an expert in Korean history and society, the ruling said: “He [the expert] indicates that homophobic attitudes within the military are still given ‘official status’ since it is viewed in the society as a ‘sin against God.’ It is still considered a mental illness. ... If a homosexual is expelled due to his sexual identity, he probably cannot enter into the public sphere such as employment or schools.[9]”
