Kine Aw is a female Senegalese visual artist. She works with paint on large canvases and creates her perception of reality which consists of themes inspired by her own life as a woman and of the universe of women in the Sahel; modernity versus tradition, round shapes, beauty.[1] The majority of her art works have a unique cubist style, portrayed by natural geometric structures.[2] Popularly known as Kine Aw was born in 1977 in Dakar, Senegal.[3][4] She graduated from the National School of Arts in Senegal in 2006. Her approach, as she emphasized, is a way of guiding "traditional values in relation to the modern world". One of the most popular works in this selection, one of its most recent works is Féminine Nature, a nine-polyptych. Her paintings are a kind of map of our environment and our expressions, our history and other social factors that reflect the environment in which we work. In short, it prioritizes humanity in its work and puts it at the center of attention. She now lives and works in Senegal.[6][7]
