"King Ricky" is an Indian Lyricist, Composer, Singer & Music Producer.[1]. He represents the Punjabi music industry. Best known for his romantic writing, King Ricky has given back-to-back hits as a lyricist/composer. His recent track Lifestyle was featured in the Top 100 UK Music Chart and Top 40 British Songs Chart[2]. As a lyricist, King Ricky has been achieving a lot of success, as his song Tum Ho was in the Top 10 of the Asian Music Chart Top 40[3]. A song called Ego, co-written by him, also featured in Top charts[4].
Due to his reserved nature, he has a limited but loyal fan base. He is a well-known name among artists and music companies. King Ricky spent most of his life in Australia and was involved in the underground music scene. His song Raani was nominated for the Most Romantic Song of the year by PTC Punjabi Music Awards in 2018[5] and Murad[6] was nominated for the Most Romantic songs of the year in 2020 by PTC Music Awards[7]. His song Morniyee was a massive hit all over. It featured in the top UK charts for several months.
Early Life & Education
King Ricky was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. He has one sibling Navneet who is a Banker. His father was also a Banker, who passed away in 2019. His mother is a housewife. King Ricky completed his primary and secondary education in Jalandhar & Mohali, Punjab. He went to Australia for higher studies and graduated from a college in Melbourne, Australia. He spent most of his early life in Australia, where he explored his creative side.
Music Career
He is actively working as a lyricist and vocalist in the Punjabi music industry since 2016.

He recently released a Punjabi devotional song, which was written, composed & sung by King Ricky called Nanak Nanak[17]. King Ricky did another devotional song that was written and composed by him called Nanak Mera[18] earlier. Apart from commercial songs, King Ricky works on devotional and inspirational tracks too. Stand with you[16] is an example of that. He wrote two songs in a mini album called "Dear Dad". Which was a tribute to his deceased beloved father[19]
