The Knight Rydaz are a Puerto Rican latin music production duo, which consist of music producers Robin John Mendez (Robin John Knight), and Alex Figueroa (Lex Knight). They began working together as music producers in 2005. Their music spans numerous genres, mixing reggae with dancehall, reggaeton, soca.
The Knight Rydaz have featured their music work in various latin music albums since their 2009 debut. They produced three songs in Don Omar's 2009 album, iDon, which included the single "Sexy Robotica" and "How We Roll" which was featured in the 2011 Universal Pictures film Fast Five[1]. In June 2009, "Sexy Robotica" placed #20 in U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs[2] and #6 in U.S. Billboard Latin Tropical Airplay[3]. In 2012, the Knight Rydaz produced Don Omar's single Dutty Love and Zumba, which were both released in the album MTO²: New Generation (2012). Dutty Love won the Billboard Latin Music Award for Latin Rhythm Airplay Song of the Year in 2013 [4] and placed #1 in U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs[5], #1 in U.S. Billboard Latin Pop Songs[6] and #1 in U.S. Billboard Tropical Airplay[7] in 2012. "Zumba" was used as the main song for the video game Zumba Fitness Core,[8][9] which was released in October 2012 for the Kinect and Wii. It also reached the #1 position in U.S. Billboard Latin Pop Songs[10]. In 2017, the Knight Rydaz produced the single "Te Quiero Pa'Mi" with Don Omar feat. Zion & Lennox which peaked at #1 in U.S. Billboard Latin Airplay[11]. That same year, their production of Don Omar's single "Encanto" peaked at #13 in U.S. Billboard Latin Airplay[12]
