On the field[edit]
In 1985 the club achieved State League status with a men's team entered in competition. In 1990 the club entered a women’s State League in competition.
In 1997 Knox Hockey Club signed an agreement with Croydon Hockey Club to play all home games & train at new grounds that were to be built at The Knox School. During a meeting between the presidents of the Knox & Croydon Hockey Clubs to finalise ground sharing times for training & matches, the idea of amalgamating the clubs was floated. This was taken to each clubs Committee and both clubs put forward to their respective AGMs that they amalgamate to become The Eastern Hockey Club and was carried. The Club’s colours were to be Yellow, Red & Green and the emblem to be an eagle.
In 1998 the Knox School ground was opened, and Eastern Hockey Club fielded 5 men's teams, 2 women’s teams & 13 junior teams. The first veterans team was also entered.
In 2008 the clubs name was again changed back to Knox Hockey Club, in a move supported 100% by those present at the 2008 Annual General Meeting.

At the conclusion of the 2012 winter season, Hockey Victoria competition restructure saw Knox men’s and women’s teams moved from State League 3 and entered into Vic League 2 competitions for 2013.
In 2013 Knox Hockey Club enter a women’s masters team into the Hockey Victoria winter season for the 1st time.
In 2014 the Knox Women’s Vic League 2 team won a premiership and promotion to Women’s Vic League 1 for 2015.
In 2015 the Knox Men pushed close to finals but were eventually unsuccessful in achieving a spot in the Grand Final or promotion.[2]
In 2018 the Knox Women's Vic League 2 team made its first Vic League 1 Preliminary Final, losing 4-0 to Central Victorian Blazers.[3]

In 1994 Knox Hockey Club transferred all its senior games to the artificial turf ground at Caulfield Grammar School – Wheelers Hill Campus. At this time all senior training was held at Doncaster Hockey Ground, and all junior Saturday games & training continued at Guy Turner Reserve. Junior Friday night home games were played at either Doncaster, Box Hill or Dandenong Hockey Grounds.
Since 1998 Knox Hockey Club has played home game and conducted training from its home field at The Knox School (Burwood Highway, Wantirna South) .[1]
