Williamstown Cricket Club is an Australian cricket team competing in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association. The club was founded in 1852, making it the 3rd oldest cricket club in Victoria and one of the oldest in Australia as a whole. The club plays and trains at the Williamstown Cricket Ground which is located on Point Gellibrand, the southernmost point of Williamstown.[1]
History
Williamstown were one of the 8 inaugural clubs of the VSDCA when the competition was founded in 1908.[2] They played their first ever VSDCA match against archrivals Port Melbourne, who they beat in an outright victory.[3]
