Kofi Amoah (businessman)

Dr. Kofi Amoah is a Ghanaian businessman and the chief executive of Progeny Ventures International, an organization known to have facilitated the entry of Western Union into Africa in 1995, and the owner of various other businesses in Ghana.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Early life[edit]

He attended Opoku Ware School in Kumasi in the 1960s. He graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of California, Berkeley, US.[7]

Career[edit]

He founded the Citizen Kofi Entertainment Center, Progeny Aluminum, J.S. Investments Inc., Los Angeles and PPVI Ghana Ltd. Ghana Football Association past member, he chaired the Local Organizing Committee during the CAN 2008.[8][9][10]

Dr Amoah was a member of Ghana Investment Advisory Council inaugurated by President John Kufour in 2002, he served as non-executive director of State Insurance Company of Ghana.[11][12]

He headed the Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association established in 2018 by the government of Ghana, FIFA and CAF to direct the affairs of Ghana football.[13][14][15][16][17][18]
