About temple
Kohima Jain temple is the oldest Jain temple in North East India. The Kohima Jain temple was established in 1920 by 8 Sethi families, who were the first non-Naga settlers in Nagaland, prominent among them being Hardev Sethi, Hiralal Sethi, Phulchand Sethi, Kanhaiyalal Sethi, Jethmal Sethi etc.
These families also established the Jain temple in Dimapur in 1947.
