Kondhapuri is a panchayat village.
Kondhapuri is one of the relatively unpopular industrial sectors of the region, but it also has a lot of multinational, mid- and low-scale industries. This includes Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Kirloskar Electric Co., Sulzer, Burckhardt Compression, EOM, Glatt System, Integrated Equipment, Taikisha etc. This industrial setup has brought in a lot of international and domestic investment. It also has many educational schools and colleges like RMD Singhgad Management School, RMD Spring Dale School, Dhariwal College. The location and infrastructure around it helps the place to grow.[citation needed]
Geography
The village is located approximately 46 km to the east of the city of Pune. The village is located on the Pune - Ahmednagar highway and is well connected to nearby industrial and major towns such as Ranjangaon Ganapati (MIDC), and Shirur Taluka itself is 7 km and 10 km respectively apart to the east.
Demographics
In the 2011 census, the village of Kondhapuri had 3091 inhabitants, with 1604 males (51.9%) and 1487 females (48.1%).
