Konstantin Monastyrsky is a European-educated[clarification needed] pharmacist, a former computer programmer and software entrepreneur,[1] and a Russian American medical writer, lecturer, and radio talk show host,[citation needed] and the author of four books about health and nutrition.[2]
Monastyrsky was born in Ukraine (former USSR) in 1954, and attended Lviv's State Medical University.[citation needed] He graduated in January 1977 with a degree in pharmacy.
Between 1991 and 1998, he was the president of Okna.com ("Windows" in Russian),[1] a software company.
Monastyrsky wrote two Russian language books, entitled Functional Nutrition: the Foundation of Absolute Health and Longevity[3] and Reversing Metabolic Syndrome: How Carbohydrates Ruin Your Health and Wealth, and What You Can Do To Reverse the Onslaught of Metabolic Syndrome.[4]
Monastyrsky released his first English language book, entitled Fiber Menace: the Truth About the Leading Role of Fiber in Diet Failure, Constipation, Hemorrhoids, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's Disease and Colon Cancer in 2005.[5]
