Konstruktor is a creative environment that facilitates and simplifies business processes, materialization of creative ideas and constructive collaboration. It was founded by self-made entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist and inventor Vladislav Krishtop.[2]
Konstruktor environment empowers users with a platform to present ideas and product to the world community of thinkers, find and engage with like-minded creators, form effective collaborative groups, manage finances and raise funding.
The idea of Konstruktor is based on a basic human need for self-actualization. This philosophy was founded by Aristotle who first investigated the problem of happiness as a central category of ethics. Aristotle has defined happiness as "activity of the soul in the fullness of virtue" (Nicomachean Ethics), and suggested that happiness is achieved through the realization of one’s potential. American psychologist Abraham Maslow is considered one of the followers of this philosophy in the XX century. The most prominent of his works is the theory of the hierarchy of needs, called ‘Maslow's hierarchy of needs’. According to this theory, one of the highest levels of human need is the need for self-actualization: expressing one’s creativity, the pursuit of knowledge, finding and reaching one’s full potential. Each of these finds its full reflection in the idea of a creative environment.
Terminology of ‘creative environment’ was formulated to characterize the philosophy of Konstruktor by Vladislav Krishtop in the summer of 2014 in the course of long discussions in the meeting room of Belmont Public Library in Silicon Valley. Today, term ‘creative environment’ defines a new format for the creativity and collaboration of XXI century man.
Konstruktor is not just a creative environment. This portal embodies more than 20 years of founder’s experience in business, technology and investment. Partnering on projects and with companies in different countries, navigating bureaucratic difficulties, legal hurdles and other variety of disturbances and challenges that founder Vladislav Krishtop faced on the road to success, created a trove of knowledge, which Vladislav calls “the success code". This success code is integrated deep into Konstruktor.
Konstruktor - the world's first creative environment, was launched on October 31, 2014 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.[3] Following the presentation, project quickly received approval of experts and users around the world. In support of the launch of the Konstruktor website, inscription «konstruktor.com» was sky-typed over the symbols of San Francisco - Golden Gate Bridge and the financial center. Typing in the sky was performed by 5 aircraft and has reached more than 10 miles in length.
Company employees who live in different cities and countries became the first users of the website, as well as students and professors of Stanford University and other scientific communities around the world.

Konstruktor service is available to anyone worldwide. Strong security measures are enforced to minimize unauthorized access to communications, financial information and other data of Konstruktor users.
Konstruktor skipped beta testing period and opened the project for general use shortly after launch, whereby users can see the entire process of development of the site, follow the changes, face errors and downtime. Some users openly voiced concerns about this strategy. However, Vladislav Krishtop believes that this approach contributes to a more rapid development of the project. This is supported by the fact that site functionality is multiplied and enhanced dozens of times each year. Open mode of operation of the site also allowed for incredibly fast customer feedback via a self-serve system of tickets - electronic means of contacting site’s team. Every posted ticket is taken into consideration and prioritized for response by Konstruktor team.
In the first 2 years since launch number of active site users increased 100 times each year, making it one of the fastest growing startups in the world. As of November 2016, total number of registered users of Konstruktor exceeded 700K, and the number of unique visitors - 25 million per month.
In 2015, Konstruktor project was recognized in the top 5 of the best startups in Silicon Valley according to Bryant University New Venture Competition.
In November of 2016 Konstruktor participated in RUNET Awards 2016 competition of innovative websites. As part of the competition, Konstruktor was selected in top 10 most interesting projects to present the idea of the creative environment at RUNET Awards 2016 conference that ran within scope of Russian Interactive Week 2016. Konstruktor came in 5th in popular vote among best Internet projects of RUNET Awards 2016.
