This is a list of current virtual communities with more than 100 million active users. As of 2016[update], 46% of the world's human population (or 3,400 million) and 4,150 million have, at the end of December 2017, used the services of the Internet within the past year—over 100 times more people than in 1995 (see Global Internet usage).[1][2]
