Kotsamaba

Kotsamaba is town in district Rahim Yar Khan.It is named after the Abbasi prince Samaba khan of Bahawalpur (princely state).

kotamaba railway station is situated on the main Karachi Lahore Railway .Kot Samaba railway station[1] It is situated at the Bank of Abbasia canal.

British Era
Before partition this town was in the Bahawalpur (princely state) under british India.Hindus and Sikhs were large in number at that time.

Chaudhary Rao Irshad Ali Khan was the first SHO Police of Kotsamaba after independence.He was well renowned police officer of Bahawalpur state.

Large number of Muslims migrated here from India after independence.
