Kotsamaba
Kotsamaba is a town in the district Rahim Yar Khan. It is named after the Abbasi prince Samaba Khan of Bahawalpur (princely state).
Kot Samaba railway station is situated on the main Karachi–Lahore Railway. Kot Samaba railway station[1] It is situated on the bank of the Abbasia Canal.
British Era
Before partition, this town was in the Bahawalpur (princely state) under British India. Hindus and Sikhs were a large number at that time.
Chaudhary Rao Irshad Ali Khan was the first SHO (Station House Officer) of Police of Kotsamaba after independence. He was a well-renowned police officer of the Bahawalpur state.
A large number of Muslims migrated here from India after independence.

Major crops include sugarcane, cotton, grains, and vegetables.
Facilities
A government higher secondary school has been there since 1950. A rural health center and some private schools are also operating there.
