Kris Q. Rehl is an American television writer, producer, and political figure. He is best known for writing the Freeform television series The Fosters and its spin-off Good Trouble.[2]

Life and work[edit]

Rehl grew up in Georgia, where he completed his schooling at The Walker School in 2007.[3] He graduated from New York University, where he was assaulted in a hate crime in his freshman dorm.[1]

Rehl is a television writer for the Freeform family drama series The Fosters and its spin-off Good Trouble. He is a contributor to The Hollywood Reporter.[1]

In June 2020, Rehl was elected by California's 28th Congressional District to represent California as a pledged delegate for Elizabeth Warren at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.[4] He was endorsed by the Young Delegates Coalition.[5] Rehl joined the Left Caucus in voting against the Democratic party platform because it did not include Medicare For All.[6]
