Krishan Hooda is an Indian film director. He is better known as the director of the first ever biopic on the renowned spiritual guru, Osho Rajneesh. His short film Malota got nominated as an official entry in 64th Filmfare Awards

Early life
Krishan Hooda born on 15 July 1987 at Rohtak, Haryana, India in a Jaat Hindu family. His father Karan Singh Hooda was in the Indian Army which made him complete his early schooling from different parts of India. Hooda completed his graduation from L.S Raheja College, Santacruz, Mumbai.
Career
Krishan Hooda started his career in the film industry as an actor and acted in a couple of plays at Prithvi_Theatre, then directed a play for Thespo. Later, he assisted Rajen Kothari (a well know Indian cinematographer) in his last film 'Das Capital' he found his passion in writing and direction. He started his film making career by directing short films. He directed his first short film 'Ram Naam Satya Hai' in 2013. After making few more short films, In 2015, he landed a chance to direct first ever feature based on the early life of spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh Rebellious Flower released in India and abroad on 15th Jan 2016.
The Last Audition

Rebellious Flower
He made his feature film directorial debut with Rebellious Flower,[5][6] Rebellious Flower which was released on 15 January 2016, in India and has been nominated for several national and international awards since, and has won several of them. Rebellious Flower also won Special Jury Award at Salento International Film Festival, Italy 2015.[7] His short film 'The Last Audition' was officially selected at 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival 2014, in Vietnam, where Krishan officially represented India. It won best Digital Content at Talent Track Awards 2019, India.
Rebellious Flower marked the directorial debut of Krishan Hooda and was written and produced by Jagdish Bharti. It is based on the initial years of Rajneesh Osho.[8] The film won Special Mention Jury Award at 12th Salento International Film Festival, Italy.[9][10] It was also the Official Selection at Lumière 2015 - 6th CinemAvvenire Film Festival and Lake City International Film Festival 2015.[11] This is the first ever feature film biopic on Osho Rajneesh and its supported by Osho Foundation.[12][13]
Rebellious Flower won Best Original Score at Tenerife International Film Music Festival. The jury was led by an Emmy Award winning composer, Richard Bellis. In total, 1,261 films were submitted, out of which Rebellious Flower most impressed Bellis and other members of the jury.[14]
