Kukkaje is a suburb in Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka, India. It is located 23 km (14 mi) east of Mangalore city center, 15 km (9 mi) east of Ullal, 9 km (6 mi) north of Bantwal. Kukkaje is one of the fastest developing areas in Bantwal district of Karnataka.

As of 2011[update] India census, Kukkaje had a population of 8,829. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Kukkaje has an average literacy rate of 88%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 76% of the males and 92% of the females literate. 82% of the population is under 6 years of age. Tulu language is the main language spoken here. In addition to Beary, Kannada, the town also has Konkani speaking populations.
