Kutsenits is an Austrian bus manufacturer specialising in the production of minibus conversions. The company's main office is situated in Hornstein, Austria, while their factory is situated in Murska Sobota, Slovenia.[1]
History
Kutsenits was founded by Stefan Kutsenits in 1948. The company became a subsidiary of Stefan Kutsenits' bus company in 1974.[2]
Kutsenits began producing buses in 1986 through a joint venture with Autocommerce. The first deliveries came from Austria, Germany, and Cuba to name a few.[2]
After the collapse of Yugoslavia in 1991, the company relocated its premises from their workshop in Austria to a factory in Murska Sobota, where bus production still takes place.[2]
In 2004, the Kutsenits City was introduced. The model was supplied to Stockholm, Vienna, and Ravenna to name a few.[2]
In 2008, the Kutsenits Hydra City buses were introduced, with the first models delivered to Germany and Sweden.[2]
In 2011, Kutsenits won the State Prize for electric bus development.[2]
Finally, in 2018, the company began delivering the E-Solar and E-Solar City buses developed in 2017.[2]

Kutsenits Hydra City/Classic
The Kutsenits Hydra City and Kutsenits Hydra Classic models are low-floor buses offered in lengths ranging from 7.9m to 10m with either a width of 2.3m, or 2.5m. They can hold up to 63 people, and have manual wheelchair ramps installed. They are based on the Mercedes-Benz Atego chassis.[3] There are currently 5 Kutsenits Hydra City buses in passenger service; 4 in Ukraine, and 1 in Sweden. Of the Kutsenits Hydra Classic model, there are 10 in passenger service; 4 in Slovenia, 3 in Austria, and 3 in Hungary. There are a further 5 special models powered by compressed natural gas, of which 4 are in Ukraine, and 1 is in Poland.[4]
Kutsenits E-Solar City XL
Kutsenits' latest model; the bus is electric and based on a Volkswagen chassis. It is battery electric, with a battery voltage of 100KWh, that has a range of 200km. It is offered in both standard dual-axle configuration, and tri-axle configuration, with a capacity of 40 people.[5]
