Kutty Grandson (born 1983) is an American rapper.[1] from Detroit, Michigan. He was discovered in May 2020 following a viral tweet from his cousin criticizing his rap skills.[2] However, at his cousin's insistence[3], he created a Twitter account. At first, Grandson was dismayed[4] by his cousin's commentary, but he has since chosen to interact with new fans and listeners amidst his newfound attention[5]
Grandson's rap style is unorthodox, in that his syllabic structure often exceeds the rhythmic structure of the track, and he occasionally drifts away from hip-hop's common couplet rhyme scheme.
