Kwasi Busumbru

Kwasi Busumbru (born 18 August 1963) is a Ghanaian businessman and politician who was disqualified as a presidential candidate in the 2020 Ghanaian presidential election on the ticket of the People's Action Party (PAP).[1][2]

Early life and education

Kwasi was born in Amakom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, to Mr Kobina Busumbru and Mrs Philomena Busumbru, both deceased.

He attended Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey and graduated in Political Science. He also attended Merton College, Oxford in England, majoring in Business management. For his high school education, he attended Kumasi Academy and completed his primary education at the Anglican Practice School, Kumasi.[3]

Politics

Kwasi Busumbru was disqualified by the Electoral Commission of Ghana for failing to meet the required qualifications as a presidential candidate.[4][5]
