Kyle Gott is a YouTube personality and a Senior airmen in the United States Air Force. He is currently stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. He had previously been stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Before joining the Air Force, Gott worked full-time as a manager at a pizza parlor. As of January 12th, 2017, he has 91,099 subscribers on YouTube.[1]
Early life
Kyle Gott was born on May 30, 1991.[2] He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. When he was in 4th grade, the 9/11 attacks made him consider a career path in the military.[3] He worked in the food industry from the age of 16 until he left for the Air Force at age 21. He has a brother in the Marine Corps.
Air Force Career
Gott was sent to Basic Military Training on January 7, 2013. Gott went to tech school in Pensacola, Florida. Gott became an Aircraft Structural Maintainer.[4] His first deployment overseas was to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. After 3 years in Japan, Gott was then reassigned to Nellis Air Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. On August 24, 2016, Gott found out that he had been promoted to Staff Sergeant, and he will assume that role in June 2017.
YouTube career
Gott started uploading videos to YouTube in 2007 and launched his current Kyle Gott channel in October 2011. In his first year, Gott only earned 16 subscribers on YouTube. Gott reached 10,000 subscribers on March 1, 2014.[5] and on March 25th he achieved 50,000 subscribers.[6] As of January 2017, he has over 90,000 subscribers.[7] He also runs another channel called Gott Love with his wife Makenna Gott, together they upload videos of their life and travels. His Gott Love channel has over 40,000 subscribers.[8] His wife, Makenna Gott, has her own channel with over 8,000 subscribers.[9] Gott is considered to have the largest military YouTube personality account on YouTube. He also is the only military YouTube personality who doesn't use vulgar language on his account.[10]
