Kyle Ure (born 14 January 2006) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a Midfielder for EFL League Two club Crewe Alexandra, on loan from Scottish Premiership club Celtic.[2]
Club career
Celtic
Born in Scotland,[1] Ure came through the academy at Celtic having joined them at the age of 10, and on 28 January 2025, after impressing for Celtic B team as well as the Youth League side; Ure signed a new contract at Celtic Park which runs until the summer of 2027.[3] After returning from the loan spell at Ayr, Ure was part of the first team squad which travelled to Portugal for pre-season.[4][5]
Ayr United (loan)
On 27 July 2025, despite having featured for Celtic's first team during pre-season, Ure joined [[ Scottish Championship]] side Ayr United on a season-long loan.[6] Ure made his senior debut later the same day as he came on as an 89th minute substitute for Ethan Walker during a 2-1 defeat against St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup.[7] In November 2025- having made 16 appearances for Ayr, Ure picked up a hamstring injury whilst away with Scotland U21's and returned to parent club, Celtic to begin the rehabilitation process.[8] On 3 March 2026, after almost four months out on the sidelines, Ure came on as a substitute against Arbroath in the 61st minute as he replaced Stuart Bannigan in the 1–1 draw.[9][10]
Ure returned to Celtic Park at the conclusion of the loan, having made 19 appearances The Honest Men across all competitions.[11]
Crewe Alexandra (loan)
On 21 August 2026, Ure signed for EFL League Two side Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan.[12] Ure made his senior debut in the EFL a day later, coming on as a substitute for Joel Tabiner during Crewe's 1–0 home win against Northampton Town in the second league match of the season.[13]
International career
In October 2025, Ure received his first call up to the Scotland U21 squad for their UEFA Euro 2027 Qualifiers against Gibraltar U21 and Azerbaijan U21 respectively.[14]

Ure is the son of Derek Ure.[15]
