LATINTCS

The LATIN conference is a series of international meetings on Latin American Theoretical INformatics. It was founded in 1992 by Imre Simon, a Brazilian computer scientist.

Currently it is held (essentially) in a biannual rhythm, in a Latin American location. Its scientific focus is on progress in theoretical computer science, with the aim to promote research in this area, and in particular to promote it in the Latin American countries.

Each meeting presents two awards.

  • Imre Simon Test-of-Time award
  • Alejandro López-Ortiz award
