Michael McLarty (born August 28, 2001), known by his rap name as LILBLUSKITTLE, is an American rapper and basketball player born in Villa Rica, Georgia. He began his music career at the age of 11 by uploading music to Bandcamp before transitioning to SoundCloud several years later. From 2013 to 2015, he was part of Tyler James and the Lords of the Underworld, a rap group he founded. The group's name was inspired by a character from the Disney Channel series Dog with a Blog and a band featured in South Park. Skittle began playing basketball at the age of 13 and has cited NBA player Damian Lillard as a partial inspiration for both his basketball career and his music. During high school, he began identifying himself as a SoundCloud rapper. In 2016, he became more serious about pursuing rap after listening to Logic's mixtape Bobby Tarantino and his album The Incredible True Story. He has credited Logic as a major influence on his fast-paced rapping style, and the two later met in person. On June 22, 2018, LILBLUSKITTLE released his debut single, "LEAN," on Apple Music and other streaming platforms. His debut album, BeautifulHusky, was released on November 9, 2018. Some of the album's tracks later became lost media after his former YouTube account was terminated. He released his second album, Mooch, on May 10, 2019, followed by his third album, Invasion of the Doggy Snatchers, on October 4, 2019. His fourth album, At Skittle Side, was released on April 10, 2020, and his fifth album, Toon Disney Szn, followed on June 19, 2020. In 2021, McLarty announced plans to retire from rapping in 2022 to focus on his adult career. During this period, he released RESURRECTION on May 14, 2021, followed by his sixth album, BeautifulHusky II, on November 9, 2021. The latter serves as a sequel to his debut album. His seventh album, WISHBONE SZN, a sequel to Toon Disney Szn, was released on November 18, 2022. After nearly two years without releasing another album, LILBLUSKITTLE returned to making albums in June 2024 to compete with a former friend. He subsequently released his eighth album, The Unlimited Squirrels Mixtape, on October 18, 2024. His ninth album, The Return of ABluSkittle, was released on August 28, 2026, coinciding with his 25th birthday.
Early life
LILBLUSKITTLE was born on August 28, 2001 in Villa Rica, Georgia, to his biological mother and father. He was homeschooled until his mother’s death in 2009. He started going to school around 2010 started second grade and then went back to first grade because of his bad grades. Which resulted in him kicking out of school at 5th grade and switched to another school. He moved to Newnan because his dad started dating a woman off a dating site. He lived with them until 2019 and now lives across the street from his old house. He graduated from Northgate High School on May 28, 2021.
Career
LILBLUSKITTLE began rapping in 2012, recording music on his sister’s MacBook under the name Kodi Mathers. He released his debut EP, Trip To Alabama, on Bandcamp, which received significant backlash. In 2013, he released his debut album, Stevenletri1 Gets a Windows XP for His Birthday, which also attracted negative attention, also Jingle All The Way?? So F**king Stupid and the sequel, Jingle and Bell In The Christmas Star at age 11 and 12.
He later joined the group Tyler James and the Underworld, recording several songs before releasing the group’s debut album, MEGGYCAM 3000, in May 2015 and TheLostNarrator on Sep 2015. He eventually left the group to focus on his solo career, which continued until April 2016, when he released his final album of that period, BronyDanceParty Is Going to Kick Your Ass Tonight.
In late 2015, he adopted the name ABluSkittle and released his first album under that name, SKITTLE!. He continued using the name until July 2017, when the original ABluSkittle, whom he encountered on Twitter, reportedly threatened legal action over his use of the name.
In November 2017, he changed his name to LILBLUSKITTLE. Under this name, he released nine albums and his first single in June 2018.
In 2021, he announced that he intended to retire from rapping to focus on college and other adult responsibilities. He released what was described as his final album, RESURRECTION, on May 14, 2021.
Following the album’s release, he continued uploading occasional songs to SoundCloud. In his song “HouseBroken,” he announced plans to release BeautifulHusky Remastered, also referred to as BeautifulHusky II, on November 12. The following year, he released WISHBONE SZN. On October 18, 2024, he released The Unlimited Squirrels Mixtape.
LILBLUSKITTLE later released The Return of ABluSkittle on August 28, 2026, marking a return to his former ABluSkittle name.
