The Return of ABluSkittle is the upcoming ninth studio album by Atlanta-based rapper and producer LILBLUSKITTLE, scheduled to be released on his 25th birthday, August 28, 2026. The album, which has been in development since 2018, marks a milestone in Skittle's musical career and is expected to showcase his signature blend of hip-hop, digital art, and internet culture. He released his first single, "ABluSkittle Sux at Rocket League" on May 2, 2025 which recorded in 2018. He released his second single, “TOOTHLESS WAVE” on February 27, 2026. the Youtuber TOON RECAP will design the album cover. Skittle picked him to do the album cover because he can make it Cas Van De Pol style and he loves his cartoon animation recaps, stating that he will be perfect for this album. Making the second person to design a album cover for Skittle after his ex-friend did it for Resurrection back in 2021.

An internet user who went by the name ABluSkittle expressed concerns about LilBluskittle’s use of the name, claiming it conflicted with their personal brand and online identity. The situation sparked who was the real ABluSkittle.

In the aftermath of the discussion, LilBluskittle voluntarily agreed to stop using the ABluSkittle name, opting instead to fully embrace his current stage name, LILBLUSKITTLE, in order to avoid further conflict. While the situation never escalated into a formal legal dispute, it did serve as a defining moment in LilBluskittle's career, marking a shift in how he approached his artistic identity.

Despite the drama surrounding the name change, LilBluskittle continued to release music and build his fan base. Then one day Skittle said I really need to finish this unreleased The Return Of ABluSkittle album. The first draft got lost back in 2018 so he had to redo the album. It was originally going to release on June 2025 but due to getting busy and personal stuff he pushed it to August 2026. Saying "this is it! after all the delays, it's finally dropping on my 25th birthday. Don't know if this will be my last album or not, we will see."
