LU:KUS (Korean: 루커스) is a five-member South Korean boy band, formed by Box Media in 2013. The group consists of J.ONE (Leader), Donghyun, Kyungjin, Choi, and maknae Jinwan.[1][2][3]
History
Pre-debut
After Donghyun (Taefung), J.ONE (Haewon), and Jinwan left X-5 (band) and their former agency Open World Entertainment, they joined a new company called Box Media/iBOXMEDIA, and became members of a new group called LU:KUS. LU:KUS is a special way of saying "Look Us," meaning "Look at us." The new male group consists of 5 members: Donghyun, J.One, Kyungjin, Choi, and Jinwan. Like their name, Box Media hopes to “raise them as a group who will promote not only in Korea, but Japan, China, South East Asia, and other parts of Asia.” Their agency previously also commented, “LU:KUS, a 5-member boy group who possess vocal, rap, and dance skills, will be releasing their debut album around April~May, and start their promotions.”. However, on the 3rd of June 2013, it was announced that the group moved to Pan Entertainment (an agency more known for producing Korean dramas), through their Daum Cafe. [4][5]
