Louis Labe Safro (August 14, 1891 - April 9, 1966) was a professional American football player for the Minneapolis Marines, prior to that team's entry into the National Football League. During his football career, he earned the nickname the The Jewish Lion. Safro also played on a United States Marines football team. During World War I he had risen from the rank of private to lieutenant.
Safro was also a boxer, fighting in the welterweight division. During his career he posted a boxing record of 9 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw. Three of his wins, and two of his losses, were due to a knockout.
