Lagny-sur-Marne International Piano Competition

The Lagny-sur-Marne International Piano Competition is a piano competition founded in 2006 on the initiative of the city of Lagny-sur-Marne (France). The competition takes place every year in the ballroom of the City Hall and is intended for young pianists up to 32 years old.

History[edit]

The Lagny piano Competition was founded in 2006 by the city of Lagny-sur-Marne.

The competition occurred every year from 2006 to 2015,[1][2][3] and it was managed and presided over by concert pianists Béatrice Quoniam-Chauvel and Pascal Nemirovski.

In 2016, French concert pianist fr:Hugues Leclère took over the direction of the competition.[4]

The Lagny Competition was acknowledged by the Alink-Argerich Foundation, world federation of piano competitions, established and directed by Gustav Alink and Martha Argerich in 2012.
