Larry O'Donnell
Lawrence “Larry” O’Donnell III, born December 14, 1957, is now a popular speaker, leadership consultant, author, and ministry leader after his 40+ year business career. He is best known for appearing as CBS’ first Undercover Boss[1].
Early Life and Education
Lawrence O’Donnell III was born to Annell and Lawrence O’Donnell Jr[2]. While growing up in Houston, TX, O’Donnell attended Memorial High School. He then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin (1976-1980), a Juris Doctor, cum laude from the University of Houston Law School (1980-1983), and later a Master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary (2016-2019)[3].
Career
Personal Life
Since his retirement, O’Donnell now shares what he’s learned in his career with organizations, businesses, and churches across the nation and other countries. He also regularly leads Bible studies and church retreats, mentors and coaches executives and pastors, writes a weekly blog, and hosts a podcast titled The Larry O’Donnell Podcast[4] where he shares lessons on leadership, discipleship, and faith.
In 2019, O’Donnell began serving as President and Chairman of Servant Ministries Foundation[5], a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing direct ministerial activities, such as mentoring, coaching, discipleship, evangelism, public speaking, leading church retreats, and teaching Bible studies[6].
O’Donnell’s first book, *Management Waste: 5 Steps to Clean Up the Mess and Lead with Purpose*, was published in print, EBook and AudioBook in 2020.
O’Donnell and his wife, Dare, have been married for over 40 years. Together, they have two children: a special needs daughter, Linley, a son, Larry, and a daughter-in-law, Christina.
